Hey Dolphin Fam!

First, a massive THANK YOU to all of our amazing swimmers and parents for riding the waves with us! Yesterday’s rainy day schedule required some serious flexibility, and you all handled it like absolute pros. Way to adapt and keep those spirits high—you proved that a little water outside the pool can't stop this pod!

This weekend, we are packing up our fins and swimming over to our very first away meet of the season, and visiting our fellow flipper friends, the Arden Park Dolphins.

Here is everything you need to know to ensure smooth sailing this Saturday, 5/30:

📍 The Details

• Location: Arden Park Community Pool — 1000 La Sierra Drive, Sacramento, CA 95864
• Parking: A small parking lot is available on-site, but most of our pod will need to find street parking nearby. Please be mindful of the local residents and do not block driveways.
• Timing System Code: Arden Park uses the Time Drops timing system. Our code for the meet is 1962.
• Furry Friends: Please leave pets at home! Only official service dogs are allowed inside the fenced area around the pool deck.
• Tent Sent Up and Important Locations:
  • Blue - Arden Park Dolphin Team Area
  • Yellow - Visiting Team Area
  • Red - Ready Bench
  • Pink - Snack Bar
  • Green - BBQ Purchase Pick-up

⏰ Timeline (Don't Be Late!)

• 7:00 AM – Del Norte Dolphins Swimmer check in (Volunteers Check-in with Sara Freisen!)
• 7:35 AM – 8:10 AM – Del Norte Warmups (Arden Park warms up before us, so please do not jump in early!)
• 8:00 AM – Team Cheers & 1st Shift Volunteers in Place
• 1:30 PM – Estimated last relay wrap-up. We must completely vacate the pool area by 2:00 PM for recreational swim hours. Please stay to cheer on our Dolphins!!

🏊Spectator Etiquette

Parents are welcome to cheer on our swimmers from the bleachers or the pool deck. Because space can get a little tight, please be conscious of others and rotate out of the prime viewing spots after your swimmer completes their race so the next parents can catch a glimpse of their own dolphin.

📍 Practice Time Update: 

For the next two Fridays, (5/29 and 6/5), please join your age group for the following practice times:  

• 4:00 - 5:15: 13 and up
• 5:15 - 5:45: 6 and under
• 5:45 - 6:15: 7-8
• 6:15 - 6:45: 9-10
• 6:45 - 7:30: 11 - 12
