Hi Dolphin Families,

We are diving into a packed and exciting week! Summer practice starts this Wednesday, (reminder, no practice tomorrow 6/9!) and we’ll be catching the wave to our away meet in West Sacramento this weekend. Please dive into the schedules, action items, and logistics below so we can keep the whole pod swimming in the same direction.

🏊Relay & Meet Attendance Action Items (Big Wave News!)

We just found out that this weekend's meet will feature 10 lanes and many of our dolphins will be swimming in relays. Please make sure your swimmers are ready to roll and stay close to the team area so they don't miss their events!
West Sacramento Meet Attendance: Please swim on over to SwimTopia and update your meet attendance by this evening.
- Important: For any cancellations or attendance changes after Thursday, 6/11, please text Sara Friesen at (916) 947-9434. Please do not contact the coaches directly with schedule changes so they can focus entirely on team meet preparation.
Morning Practice Groups: Please check the SwimTopia website tonight. Group assignments for morning practices are being updated so make sure you know which time your swimmer needs to be in starting 6/10.

📍 Visiting West Sacramento: Arrival & Parking Tips

West Sacramento is looking forward to hosting our pod! They have shared a Visiting Team Information Link with full details, but here are the highlights:

The Gate Opens: 6:30 a.m, for a 7:00 a.m. check in.
Pro Parking Tip: Do NOT follow GPS through the internal loop of their Rec Center and high school. Instead, instruct your drivers to turn down Linden Road. This takes you directly to the football field/back parking lot.
GPS Hot Tip: On Google Maps, search for the pin for "River City Jr. Raiders Cheer and Football"—this will route you perfectly to the back gate area from Linden.

📱 Meet Day Apps & Essentials

Meet Apps: On the day of the meet, we will be using SwimTopia and Time Drops Live.
Time Drops Live Code: 0000
Snack Shack Treats: Kona Ice truck and Crumbl Cookie will be on-site during the meet! 🍧🍪

📸 Picture Day Info (Wednesday, 6/17 — No Practice!)

Starting today, (6/8!) your picture order form for each swimmer will be in your family box. Grab your ribbons (and anything from last season!) and keep track of your form!

Please note that there will be no regular swim practice on Picture Day. Our goal is to have the whole pod completely finished with photos by 10:30 a.m.

Here is how the morning will flow:

Forms & Payment: Every single swimmer needs a paper form (this is not one per family). If you are paying by credit card, please take a picture of your confirmation. Note: If you only want the Team Photo, you still need to order it using a paper slip!
The Lineup (8:15 a.m.): We will start lining up at 8:15 a.m. Head to the table at the tennis lounge where we will be handing out numbers for individual photos to the swimmers. If you are not taking individual pictures, you DO NOT NEED A NUMBER. Please, no holding spots in line—swimmers must be present to get their own number!
Group/Team Photo (9:00 a.m.): The full team group photo will happen promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Individual & Buddy Photos:
- Once the group photo is done, swimmers will line up in numerical order with their forms in designated areas.
- After individual pictures are taken, swimmers can take "buddy pictures" (siblings, cousins, friends, etc.). Please note these cannot be done during individual photo times.
Keep the Deck Clear: To prevent overcrowding, please do not congregate in the deck area. Families and swimmers should hang out on the grass area while waiting.
